THE VILLA

Villa Hochland: welcoming since 1896.

The view enjoyed from the terraces and Mediterranean gardens of Villa Hochland is breathtaking. The innate elegance of Merano can be seen from the Villa from a privileged point of view, from which you can admire the roofs of the spa town on one side and mountain peaks on the other.
Thanks to the direct access to the Tappeiner promenade, you can reach the historic center or wander through the nature trails of the Adige Valley; they are both just a few minutes away.

HOSTING IN STYLE

Since its construction in 1896 by the German architect Clemens Feodor Helm, the Art Nouveau villa near the Polveriera has dominated the landscape above Merano. Since 1903 it has stood out for the welcome given to the tourists that reached the city and its thermal baths. The Villa became famous throughout Europe thanks to the empress, Sissi. Villa Hochland has always boasted unique comforts for that time: it had electricity, bathrooms with hot water, central heating and a telephone.

Even now, the comfort and privacy enjoyed in the recently completely renovated apartments are the reason why the structure is chosen by tourists looking for a relaxing holiday.

Owned by the Kuen family since 1988, today Villa Hochland is managed by Barbara, a discrete yet friendly person. She showers her guests with warm hospitality and well-being. Her precious advice will persuade you to try the most wondrous local specialties, learn about the mountains and valleys surrounding Merano, and discover the most evocative corners of the city that fascinated the empress, Sissi.
